Unwrapped

They appear
as if floating on a cloud,
merged footsteps
Inform,
playfully fashioning a history.

Walking side by side,
an ode to posiibility
a performance
Lit by the setting sun
Low in the evening sky.

The begining
Pregnant with Innocence,
A glance, a touch, a dream,life
restricted by fraudulent beliefs,
lived, branded, scarred to the marrow .

Another excerpt from the forthcoming collection ‘When Cold Air Rises by Simon Bucknor’

Unwrapped, A poem about that relationship that seemed to be sent from the heavens, everything just right…until you are able to see the things for what they really are. The holes in the relationship and life become clear creating a firm understanding that life is about working with the ‘holes’ not expecting them to not be there.

Perfection is not the abscene of issues, of failures, instead ‘Unwrapped’ delivers an idea of perfection that is success, love, peace and achievement despite and beyond any and all issues and failure.
